My name is Anne Hudson, CDBC. I am a
Certified Dog Behavior Consultant
and a charter member of
IAABC, the International Association
of Animal Behavior Consultants.
I am a charter professional member
of APDT, the Association of
Pet Dog Trainers, an
international organization promoting
positive reinforcement and operant
conditioning training, gentle
handling, and education among
veterinarians and dog professionals
and an AKC evaluator for the Canine
Good Citizen test.
In addition, I am one of the
founding members of Canine Outreach,
a Fayette County, GA based therapy
dog organization whose caring
members and canines visit nursing
homes, hospitals, hospices, schools,
etc. and also am an evaluator for
Therapy Dogs, Inc, an international
therapy dog organization.
We know that an educated puppy is
likely to grow up to be a good
canine citizen and a joy to his
family. He is easier for veterinary
staff to handle and more likely to
be a patient into his geriatric
years.
The latest studies in animal
behavior show that early education
is the key to producing
well-adjusted pets with sound
temperaments. FunPups' FREE Puppy
HeadStart classes are designed to
build the confidence of young dogs
and teach them a few basic obedience
commands, socialization skills, bite
inhibition, and manners in a
positive, gentle manner (we suggest
9-10 weeks as the very best time to
begin classroom training). |
