About
FunPups Training & Behavior Solutions
Training for Dogs and Their People with Anne Hudson

My name is Anne Hudson, CDBC. I am a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and a charter member of IAABC, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. I am a charter professional member of APDT, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, an international organization promoting positive reinforcement and operant conditioning training, gentle handling, and education among veterinarians and dog professionals and an AKC evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen test.

In addition, I am one of the founding members of Canine Outreach, a Fayette County, GA based therapy dog organization whose caring members and canines visit nursing homes, hospitals, hospices, schools, etc. and also am an evaluator for Therapy Dogs, Inc, an international therapy dog organization.

We know that an educated puppy is likely to grow up to be a good canine citizen and a joy to his family. He is easier for veterinary staff to handle and more likely to be a patient into his geriatric years.

The latest studies in animal behavior show that early education is the key to producing well-adjusted pets with sound temperaments. FunPups' FREE Puppy HeadStart classes are designed to build the confidence of young dogs and teach them a few basic obedience commands, socialization skills, bite inhibition, and manners in a positive, gentle manner (we suggest 9-10 weeks as the very best time to begin classroom training).

Funpups' all-breed FREE Puppy HeadStart Classes classes provide dog owners with sound, common-sense advice on managing typical behavior problems. By socializing pups to a wide variety of people, animals, and environments at a young age, owners avoid the formation of fears that are the basis for some of the most troublesome behaviors.

Dogs go through an adolescent stage usually beginning at five months and lasting from a few months to a couple of years, depending on the breed. This is a time where even good temperaments can begin to unravel without good social skills. Crucial to making it successfully through this stage is a good Puppy HeadStart program, from 8 to 16 weeks.

We suggest a puppy this young have had at least its first set, and preferably its second set, of shots before enrolling. Our FREE Puppy HeadStart classes give the pups a strong foundation toward becoming good canine citizens and well-socialized dogs. Both dogs and owners gain confidence and knowledge to guide pups through the rest of their lives. Following this class is the Pet Manners Class, for dogs over 4 months.

Pet Manners Classes are for dogs four months and older. We also offer private in-your-home instruction and private Behavior Consultations for those dogs that are experiencing some behavioral problems.

FunPups welcomes your inquiries about our classes and will be happy to offer our assistance to any of our clients who may need it. We will provide references from former clients and from veterinarians upon request. We do require proof of vaccination for class.

I am located in Peachtree City, GA and offer ongoing classes in the Newnan and Peachtree City areas. My phone number is 770-486-1667. Please call or email anne@funpups.com for further information regarding class dates and/or private consultations for training or behavior solutions.
